In a typical week the cats at Chapple Hill Cat Sanctuary consume approximately 250 pounds of dry cat food and 2 cases of canned food.  They use around 200 pounds of clay litter per week with a resulting trip to the dump every two weeks.  For the year we vaccinate 300 cats with FVRCP+FeLV vaccines, spay or neuter 120 cats, and have at least 10 full blood panels done.  We use at least 150 rolls of paper towels, do at least 200 loads of cat laundry and fluff over 1000 beds.  Give 2000 hugs, and trim 2000 nails.

Chapple Hill Cat Sanctuary is a non-euthanizing facility devoted to cats. Functioning since 1996 the Sanctuary is located in the Minnehaha area of Vancouver Washington at a private residence located on over two acres. Our resident population ranges between 140-160 cats plus 7 rabbits and 1 squirrel. Approximately 30% of the sanctuary cat population is feral cats residing permanently on the property. The balance of the population are, domestic cats including numerous special needs, geriatric or recovering cats residing in 1500 square feet of the residence plus two large habitats and a small outbuilding.

Chapple Hill Cat Sanctuary is functioning at capacity at this time which means we only take in a new resident when a bed becomes available. In order to serve as many animals as possible we work over a wide geography to provide pet owners and rescuers the necessary resources for affordable spay/neuter, medical care and food for the animals in their care.

We are always looking to find good homes for rehabilitated cats.  If you or anyone you know is interested in cat adoption, making a donation, or volunteering at the Sanctuary please contact us at:
